Vintage hall from year 1910 - Laser Arena
Laser Arena is two independent playing fields with a total area of 1850m sq.
The venue has full social and sanitary facilities. We have all necessary technical documentation.
Completely free parking is also available in front of the entrace to the building.
On site at your disposal there is:
- Two different playing fields designed for specific scenarios. The possibility to join them and play on the entire area.
- Room to organise company meetings or birthdays
- Elevated viewing terrace for comfortable game observation
- Toilets for men and women, also showers
- Waiting room and vending machine with drinks and snacks
- Changing rooms, lockers with keys for personal and precious items
- Armoury and two types of guns to choose from
- Full LED lighting system on the hall
History of the ZNTK hall, which currently houses Laser Arena
The industry plants were estabilished in 1910 as Eisenbahn-Hauptwerkstatt Danzig-Troyl (Main Trainworks Warehouse Gdańsk-Trojan). The plants were equipped with the biggest industry warehouses on Gdansk Pomerania.
After the end of the first world war, on power of article 107 of the versailles treaty, in 1922 the plants along with the Imperial Shipyard in Gdansk were passed on for 50 years into a duty-free lease for the newly estabilished International Shipbuilding & Engineering Co Ltd.
During the second world war the plants were managed by the German Reich Railway
After the liberation in 1945, the plants held the name of Main Workshops Gdansk-Trojan, Train Workshops PKP, from 1952 Rolling Stock Repair plants. There was a time, where the plants employed over 3000 workers.
Interesting facts
- during 1942-1945 the plants produced hulls of torpedo cruisers for the German Navy.
- in 1958 tens of busses were made for PKS on a chassis with the Leyland engine; the bodies along with euipment were sourced from the railway lines.
- on the base of jet engines from MiG fighter planes, the plants produced tens of snow plows.
- due to needs from the estabilishing Fast City Railway in Tricity (SKM) among others, ZNTK Gdansk had beed rebuilding cars of the berlin S-Bahn, received as part of war reparations.
Currently:
Currently the site had gone a costly grounds-up renovation. In one of the separated halls, Laser Arena and Magnum Arena have been estabilished as a place to play laser paintball and airsoft.
The building is under protection from the conservator of monuments.
The building has all construction supervision approvals and fire protection. The personnel on site is trained on aspects of first aid. On the entire premises there are two first aid kits equipped according to norm DIN 13157.
